Meaty Crumbles

Ingredients

1 pkg ulivit Mushroom Boost Crumbles (95g)

2 tablespoons nutritional yeast

1 tablespoon soy free sauce - coconut aminos

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon chili powder

½ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon liquid smoke

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350F (180C).  Line with parchment paper or lightly grease a large baking sheet.

  1. Soak. Add crumbles & ulivit spice pack to 1.5 cup hot water. Stir and let sit for 3 minutes.

  2. Sizzle. Heat 2 tbsp oil on non stick pan over med-high heat. Add seasoned crumbles and water and cook until water is absorbed.

  3. Mix the nutritional yeast, coconut aminos, olive oil, chili powder, garlic powder, and liquid smoke together in a large bowl. It will make a brown paste-like texture.

  4. Preheat your oven to 350F (180C).  Line with parchment paper or lightly grease a large baking sheet.

  5. Add the mushroom crumbles into the bowl along with the seasoning, making sure all of the crumbles are evenly coated. Spread the crumbles evenly over the pan. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, stopping to stir the every now and then. Keep a close eye on it towards the end so that it doesn't burn. You want the crumbles to be nice and browned. The smaller crumbles will be darker than the larger crumbles, and that's ok because it will provide a variety of texture.

  6. Use in your fav recipes - tacos, burritos, chili, enchiladas, nacho toppers, pizza, on top of roasted potatoes, stuffed pepper and anywhere that needs a little pick me up!
